At the crossroads of Soul, Jazz and Prog Rock lives an entity driven by the natural positivity emitted through music: Great Sky Band. Those who join the journey with Great Sky Band will find themselves beholden with an unparalleled musical experience that combines heavy-duty rock n roll, jazz-influenced harmonies, soulful vocals and bittersweet melodic motifs.
Formed in 2016, Great Sky Band is the genesis of many years of playing music in and around Chicago. Its seasoned members have learned to balance the fundamentals of advanced music theory with the spontaneity of improvisation. In other words, "playing from the heart" is what Great Sky Band aims to do with each and every performance.
Comprised of 5 individuals with differing but complementary musical backgrounds, Great Sky Band takes the sounds of many rooted genres and blends them together. This creates a unique and tasteful sound that's easy for fans to latch onto.
Formed in 2016, Great Sky Band is the genesis of many years of playing music in and around Chicago.
