About Airliftz

Airliftz (née Aliff Shaharom) wastes no time to realise his full potential as a star. This claim is no hyperbole as it’s matched by his musical prowess for producing stunning hip hop and r’n’b expressions that take full advantage of his multi-faceted vocal ability for rapping and singing.
The young’un rose from the anonymity of Youtube to make his first public performance at Raising The Bar (RTB) Open Mic, debuting his self-penned song that was written to the tune of T.I.’s classic track ‘Doin’ My Job.’ Little did he know, this event of his many musical firsts would result in his meeting with his future mentor -- rapper Jin Hackman.
After cutting his teeth with releasing industrious streams of raw tracks on SoundCloud and performing at gigs, Airliftz properly introduced himself with two singles. First, the self-produced ‘Gwalos’ -- a smoldering trap statement of a debut track -- that cemented his arrival as a formidable up-and-comer. The pop inclination of the banger was naturally made for radio, so much so that it generated a respectable amount of airplay, along with achieving a reach of over 170,000 plays on Spotify! ‘YAGK’, an acronym for ‘Ya Ain’t Gotta Know’ followed closely with swaggering attitude, amped with vocal harmonies and crisp percussive beats. Both ‘Gwalos’ and ‘YAGK’ display the sum of his influences that include the merciless flow of rapper Logic, the shape-shifting r’n’b stylings of Atlanta artiste ELHAE, coupled with the seamless hooks of KYLE.
If you detect a flair in his small but considerable oeuvre, it reflects outwardly in his personal style as well. Be it sporting his yellow moto jacket reminiscent of Kid Cudi or experimenting with blonde hair dye, he now expands his versatility as brand ambassador for tastemaking streetwear label HUF.
Rest assured, Airliftz is keeping busy with assembling his anticipated EP, with production duties helmed by Singaporean producer GROSSE due this July. And as any talent who's poised to further spread his love for music, Airliftz already has a full length album in the pipeline for a 2018 release, along with gracing parts of the Asian region with an upcoming full-fledged tour that will see his name ripple as far as this young man will go.
