About Rocket Paloma
ROCKET PALOMA is a progressive rock outfit with a heavy folk foundation based out of Milwaukee. Their music blends imaginative leads atop a forceful and driving rhythm section with soaring vocals & crafted storytelling. The band is comprised of four core members: Joey Kerner, Jonathan Blohm, Bob Schaab and Jack Beyler. Shortly after they formed in 2015, they quickly garnered attention, performing a handful of bigger shows and festivals: playing with acclaimed national touring act Little Tybee at Cactus Club, Locust Street Festival, Brady Street Festival, Milwaukee Pridefest, Milwaukee's inaugural Fringe Fest, and a headlining set at Bay View's Chill on the Hill.
The band saw 2017 as their busiest year, starting with the anticipated release of their debut, self-titled EP in early Spring. The EP was engineered and mixed by Kevin Arndt at the Exchange Recording Complex and mastered by Justin Perkins of Mystery Room Mastering. It was met with praise by some of Milwaukee’s bigger publications and radio stations, including a nomination for best album by 88Nine Radio Milwaukee Music Awards and featured in Milwaukee Records “10 Standout Milwaukee EPs of 2017.” In the Summer of 2017, they also released their stand-alone single, “Say Your Prayers,” engineered, mixed and mastered by Brian Adam Koceja at the Hide House.
The band started 2018 at Howl Street Recordings to work on their yet-to-be-titled sophomore effort, engineered and mixed by Shane Hochstetler. The album is the band’s first full-length album and features lyrics and songs written by all members of the band. It is expected to be released by the end of Summer.
With each member coming from different backgrounds ranging from classical to jazz and metal to funk, ROCKET PALOMA melds their stylistic differences into a truly unique, genre-bending experience.
