“meet the bacons” are from Buffalo, NY and draw influences from many great vocal duos, like Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, Simon and Garfunkel, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris and Shovels and Rope, with music styles that cross classic country, rock, bluegrass, blues and folk (more easily described as Americana music).

“meet the bacons” sound is built on strong vocal harmonies with guitar, harmonica and hand percussion.

The husband and wife duo have been singing together since they met 18 years ago and formed “meet the bacons” in 2013. “meet the bacons” sound is built on strong vocal harmonies with guitar, harmonica and hand percussion. They sing their own songs as well as some of their favorite songs by other artists. Their sound rises from classic country, rock, bluegrass, blues and folk, but is more easily described as Americana music; a fusion of classic forms of American music and modern influences.

Previous musical endeavors included opening slots for bands like Smashmouth, Run DMC, G. Love & the Special Sauce, Sponge, Sister Hazel and Moby. Also, Joe fronted a house band for a season of Comedy Central Network's “Premium Blend” with host David Alan Grier (In Living Color, Saturday Night Live, Jumanji, Dancing With the Stars), giving Joe face time, worldwide, on Friday night, prime time, network television.
