About Sleepspent
Sleepspent, from El Paso, TX, is a band that manages to deliver an intimate and simultaneously lively presence, creating emotional imagery through both their lyrics and their melodic and atmospheric sound. Austin’s voice, atop his reverb- drenched guitar riffs, often soars through bold melodies that reveal the band’s indie rock and shoegaze influence. Austin North and Aaron Quintanilla began writing to then release the band’s first EP and recruit members Josh Mendoza on drums and Cecilia Otero on bass and synth soon after.
