Rob and K.Rush were great as always but the venue sucked. His days as a bar band may be over as way too many people came and the space was limited to an outdoor patio with very limited overhead cover for the steady rain. The place lost our reservation so we sat inside where we could only hear the band when the door to the open air patio opened. After drinks and pizza we went outside to hear him for about an hour but there was almost no dry seating so after we got soaked we left. He just needs a bigger and more open venue so those who just want to stand and drink and ignore him are out of the way. His sound engineer had to compete with the rain and the people bumping into each other and the way it was laid out he took up most of the floor area. I have never left one of his shows before the last song so was disppointed more people could not enjoy his music.

Boston and Key West Based, Rob Benton has spent the last decade as both a solo artist, a member of the duo "Key West Kings" and lead guitarist performing alongside artists as diverse as Nelly, Lee Brice, Lansdowne, Skidrow, Everlast, LFO, New Kids On The Block, J. Geils Band and many more!
Rob also made an appearance on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” television show, later earning a contract with MGM Grand headlining a yearlong residency at Circus Circus Casino on the Las Vegas strip!
A dynamic performer, Rob Benton‘s style is extremely unique. By combining percussion, looping, beat boxing, electrified rock and hip hop elements to his solo acoustic playing, Rob fills out his sound like a four-piece band. Whether playing tracks from his own albums, “Dawn Meets Day & Key West King’s "Caroline Street" or covering one of the multitude of artists who have influenced him over the years, Rob makes every song his own. Rob was recently signed to Ocean Management Talent Group and is currently on tour with K-RU$H performing as the Key West Kings!
Not to be confused with the tropical sounds commonly found or stereotyped on the little island south of Florida, the Key West Kings (KWK) are a heavy hitting, showboating, interactive, fun and unsuspecting duo, BASED out of Key West and MINUS all things Jimmy Buffett (Rip)
Rob Benton and K-Rush have made a massive name for themselves around the US and islands by combining country, rock and hip hop coupled with a driving rock beat, live looping and heaping mounds of “guitar hero” theatrics that make this duo a jaw dropping visual and audible experience.
This is certainly a one of a kind show sure to appeal to any audience demographic and leave them asking the venue “when are these guys back?!?”
