MONJAH is a Reggae, Rock, Dub band based out of the beautiful crystal coast in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. Bringing a new fusion of Reggae Rock, you can expect to hear soothing melodies mixed with dub bass lines and powerful electric rhythms. Members include a wide variety of musical background genres such as funk, punk rock, jazz & hip-hop. Together as one, they deliver a unique blend of East Coast Reggae with an uplifting and positive vibration. Formed in late 2015, MONJAH started performing soon after beginning the project including shows with national acts and gaining college radio features. The band is now on air with Modern Rock 98.7 (Wilmington,NC) every week and has been featured on 99.5 the X (Greenville,NC) as well as ticket giveaways on WKNC 88.1 (Raleigh, NC). MONJAH released their debut EP titled “Make It Right” in May of 2016 on all digital media outlets and physical units. Since the release, the band has been playing a series of shows & festivals, locally/regionally on the East Coast. In early 2017, MONJAH headlined their first annual winter tour with Jahlistic from Charlotte, NC. The band also toured the Southeast region independently in NC, SC, GA & FL in June/July of 2017 including an official afterparty for Slightly Stoopid, Iration, J Boog & The Movement. Most recently, they have also shared the stage with Fortunate Youth, Tribal Seeds & Pepper in Greensboro, NC as a special guest w/ Matt Irie Band.
