Reshana Marie Music

Reshana Marie, a seasoned performer is well at home on any stage. A Nashville Recording artist, songwriter, incredible Singer and musician she now fronts her very own high energy band! Performing Classic / Modern Country, some Classic Rock and her originals, she can hold her own on any stage in the country alongside the best of them!
Reshana traveled the nation for seven years as a young teenager along with her seven brothers, and sisters, singing original and classic Southern Gospel music with this family of ten as The McDowell Family. Following those years the decision was made by the family to go back to the father's roots which were country music, as Sweet Water Junction Band. Reshana has also performed in a couple of other groups playing bass guitar. Married to her husband of twenty years they are raising two little boys.
In the spring of 2016 Reshana was diagnosed with a large inoperable cancerous brain tumor and had to undergo high dose Chemotherapy. Her last treatment was
in April of 2017 at which time she was also found to be cancer free and the brain tumor was completely gone!
In the summer of 2017 Reshana decided to return to her love of music at which time she also decided to start her own band. This band consists of her husband Tim McGatha on lead guitar, her brother Chase McDowell on fiddle, guitar and mandolin, her father Dave McDowell on bass, and a good friend, Cody Strickland on drums. The band features Reshana Marie and adds variety & spice with some lead vocals from the guys.
Reshana is still in process of regaining her full strength due to the ill side effects of the chemotherapy. In spite of this she is determined to put on the very best show possible so she presently limits herself to a few performance bookings each month. As she regains more of her strength she will increase her availability. Traveling by private coach allows her time to prepare before the show and when needed to rest in-between the performances.
