Evolution “A Tribute To Journey ” truly defies description. There are other Journey tribute bands out there, but Evolution gives you all of the subtle nuances and musical inflections of seeing an 80's Journey show.
John Murphy fronts Evolution along with veteran musicians from NYC including: Ralph Carbone - Guitars and Vocals, Les Jansson- Bass and Vocals, Mike Morales - Drums and Vocals, Lance Millard - Keys and Vocals. This is the closest you'll get to seeing a Steve Perry era of Journey live! With John Murphy's note perfect vocals, an accurate portrayal is duplicated in every way.
Evolution’s lead vocalist, John Robert Murphy, has even performed songs from Journey along side Gregg Rolie. Rolie is one of the founding members of the mega-bands Santana and Journey, as well as his current project: The Gregg Rolie Band.
John maintains a great friendship with Gregg and most members of the Gregg Rolie Band and believes that this amazing opportunity can only help promote Evolution as well.
Two other members of Evolution- Mike Morales and Lance Millard have a Journey connection also. Both have played and toured with Steve Augeri, former front man of Journey from 1998 to 2006. Mike Morales as a permanent member of the Steve Augeri Band and Lance Millard subs in for keyboard and vocals.
