Fabrizio Cammarata, whose new single “Stripped To The Bone” will be out on March 31st, grew artistically opening shows for Ben Harper, Patti Smith, Hindi Zahra, Iron & Wine, Villagers, Paper Kites, and over the years he has performed onstage with Damien Rice, Daniel Johnston as well as Tamikrest.

Born in Palermo, Sicily, with 6 albums to date, he has toured Europe and North America since 2005 with his music: songs of love, longing, lights and shadows, inspired by the voices of Chavela Vargas, Leonard Cohen, Fabrizio De André, along with Federico García Lorca’s poetry and Wim Wenders's road movies. He shifts through multiple languages, staying true to his Mediterranean descent, evolving with the musical curiosity of a tireless traveller.

After his “on-stage baptism of fire" with Devendra Banhart during a concert in his native Palermo, he made his debut in 2007 with the band The Second Grace and their self-titled album. In 2011 he released the solo album "Rooms", produced by J.D. Foster (Calexico, Marc Ribot). In 2014, together with U.K.-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Paolo Fuschi, he released a soul album, "Skint And Golden", recorded between Palermo and Manchester. Since 2013, he has been working on the road movie "Send You A Song” with director Luca Lucchesi, a long journey across 4 continents focusing on the traditional Mexican song "La Llorona", whose version by Cammarata also appears on his EP "In Your Hands" (2016) and is featured in all of his live shows.

In 2017, together with singer-songwriter Dimartino, he released "Un Mondo Raro", an album dedicated to the late Mexican singer Chavela Vargas and nominated for the Targhe Tenco Awards in Italy. In the same year, the two friends wrote a novel inspired by the life of the "lady in the red poncho", which bears the same title as the album (published by La Nave di Teseo), and a theatrical show featuring storytelling, music, and Sicilian/Mexican puppets.

In 2017, “Of Shadows” (800A Records/Kartel Music Group, Haldern Pop Recordings) was released, produced by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini, Editors, R.E.M.). It established Fabrizio as one of the most appreciated Italian voices abroad in the alternative music scene. The single “Long Shadows” is - to date - the most successful track by Cammarata with more than 3 million streams on Spotify (as of 2022).

March 2019 marks the release of “Lights” (800A Records/Kartel Music Group, Haldern Pop Recordings), also produced by Dani Castelar.
The latest two releases, dedicated to light and its absence, were followed by extensive tours in Europe, Canada, U.S., Mexico and the Middle East.

Fabrizio has played numerous festivals worldwide, including: SXSW - Austin,TX (5 editions) / Folk Alliance - Montreal, Canada / The Great Escape - Brighton - UK / MaMA Festival - Paris, FR / Reeperbahn Festival - Hamburg, DE / Haldern Pop Festival - Haldern, DE.

The new single "Stripped To The Bone" will be out on March 31, 2023.
A new album is set to be released on Nov 17, 2023.
