Time Shifters

They blast powerful female-voice driven punk rock‘n‘roll straight out of dark streets of Prague. They are wild. They are loud. They are Time Shifters. Do they shift time to take you back to when rock‘n‘roll was raw and dangerous? Yes they do! At least they try their best. This band is founded by none other than Vasilis himself, one of the original Czech punks, who used to piss off the communist police at forbidden gigs back in the 80s with his first punk band Kecup and who later joined the still existing punkabilly band The Gangnails to tour all over Europe with them.

But in 2015 Vasilis is in need of new kind of kicks so he recruits new members and along with Pavel from France sets up The Time Shifters a genuine oldschool punk rock‘n‘roll band. The fast paced songs are held together by Ales on drums, Vasilis‘ rhythmical drive is completed by Mara‘s wild riffs... and this whole bunch is driven into battle by Karolina‘s powerful voice, a devilish she daemon holding the microphone.

In the beginning of 2016 they record their first demo songs and they start touring in all kinds of clubs. 2017 they release their first 45rpm vinyl Dirty Race, they release their first video and they keep on touring the whole republic.

In 2018 they released their first LP record. They put all of their experience from the road and their wild nights‘ stories together added a touch of B-side sience-fiction and sixties‘ comics culture, and shaped the whole thing into 13 loud and blasting modern punk rockn‘roll songs. „Screaming heroes“ is born, loud wild and sincere.After the studio sessions they get back to touring, and because live concerts is what they enjoy the most they chose to shoot their first clip „No Soul Man“ in a concert hall setting

Sypou do vás žensky zpívaný punk rock’n’roll, jsou syrový, jsou nahlas. Jsou to Time Shifters. Kapelu dává dohromady Vasilis, který začínal hrát ještě za hlubokýho totáče, kdy byl v roce 1982 se svoji kapelou Kečup u zrodu prvních českých punkových kapel. Během 80.let, po krátkém působení v undergroundové kapele Garáž, ještě stačit založit jednu z prvních rockabilly kapel v Československu. Později se přidává k právě zakládané punkabilly kapele The Gangnails, se kterou projel Evropu a vydal desku i v L.A. v USA.

Začátkem roku 2015 se potkává s Pavlem, který se zrovna vrátil z Francie, kde se svojí basou brázdil kluby s kapelou Players Go Places a začíná se mluvit o nové kapele. Při nekonečných mejdanech po pražských klubech se pomalu kapela začíná formovat. V polovině roku 2015 je kapela kompletní. Nakopnuté a svižné punkrockové songy s decentní dávkou dirty garage soundu s rock’n’rollovou nádivkou žene kupředu bubeník Aleš (Dirty Blondes), rytmický drive doplňuje svými ostrými rify a divokými sóly kytarista Mára (Ex-Barockers). Celou tuto instrumentalní zvěř vede mikrofon držící ďábel v ženském převtělení s uhrančivým vocálem Karolína!

Začátkem toku 2016 nahrávají první 4 demo songy a začínají vymetat všemožné kluby. V roce 2017 vydávají první singl Dirty Race na 7” vinylu, natáčejí svůj první klip a projíždějí se svým setem celou republiku.

V roce 2018 nahrávají svoje první album, k intenzivní směsi svých zkušeností z koncertů, a divokých afterparties Time Shifters přidávají trochu té béčkové sci-fi a komiksovych zloduchů a vše míchají do 13 punk rock‘n‘rollovych pecek. Rodí se „Screaming Heroes“ nekompromisní, divoký a upřímný debut. Po studiu se kapela vrací ke koncertům, a protože tam jim je nejlépe, vybírají koncertní prostředí i pro první klip „No Soul Man“.
