Elsa Riveros

Elsa Riveros is a Colombian rock pioneer who was the lead singer for the band Pasaporte. This latin rock and new wave band was one of the most influential bands of latin rock in Colombia. Her hits with Pasaporte include Igor & Penelope, which was the first video clip directed by Simon Brand, Desertores, and Castillos. The band split in the 90s.
Elsa later recorded the hit song "Desaparecer", with Andres Cepeda and his band Poligamia. The song was the main radio hit of the time.
Elsa has now a new album, Vivir Sin Ti, and is touring it in the Washington, DC metro area.


Elsa Riveros (Cantante Bogotana) fue la vocalista de la banda bogotana Pasaporte, una banda de rock en espanol y new wave. Su carrera como cantante surgió a finales de la década de 1980 siendo la vocalista de uno de los grupos más destacados del boom del rock en español en Colombia. Sus éxitos junto al grupo Pasaporte incluyen Igor y Penelope" que sería también el primer videoclip dirigido por Simón Brand; otros éxitos como "Desertores", y "Castillos. El grupo se desintegró en la década de 1990. Elsa también grabó la canción "Desvanecer" junto a Andrés Cepeda y su banda Poligamia.1​ Producido por Pablo Tedeschi, el tema fue incluido en el primer álbum de dicha agrupación convirtiéndose en un éxito radial de la época.
