Matt Hammitt

Matt Hammitt is an American singer, songwriter and speaker. For twenty years, Matt was the lead singer and songwriter for the band Sanctus Real. During that time, the band released eight albums under Sparrow Records, toured internationally and released 14 top five and number one singles to Christian radio, earning them a household name amongst Christian music fans worldwide. Matt has been the recipient of three Dove Awards, has been nominated for two Grammys for his work with Sanctus Real, and has been awarded for his chart topping songs, performed by both Sanctus Real and other popular Christian music artists.

Matt’s passion for family is what ultimately led him to leave Sanctus Real is 2015. Matt has been married to his wife, Sarah, for seventeen years, and they have four children, Emmy (13), Claire (10), Bowen (8) and Lewis (6). After leaving the band, Matt and his wife, Sarah, launched conferences and concert events focused on building men, marriages, and families. Matt and Sarah also partner with Family Life out of Little Rock, Arkansas. Matt is a speaker for their Weekend to Remember marriage retreats.

Matt is also a guest on Kirk Cameron's "Living Room Reset" tour.
