Barely Know Her

barely Know her began as a five-piece experimental band towards the end of 2014. With Austin Sharpe as the founder, the rest of the members (Chava Dimaio, Paul Cirillo, John Bologna & Joe Sammartano) fell shortly into place. As they prepared for their first performance at their local high school's 13th annual 'Battle of the Bands', they began to experiment playing several genres and settled on alternative rock. They have now played all over New York, including notable venues like Purpl in Hastings-on-Hudson, Revolution Bar & Music Hall in Amityville, and world-famous club The Bitter End in Greenwich Village. They released their first demo in February 2016, and just released their first professionally-recorded single on Soundcloud, Reverbnation & Spotify in September 2017. Since their formation, the band has won multiple awards in both musicianship and film, picking up four 'Battle of the Bands' titles across New York and two 'Best Music Video' awards on Long Island. A serious band built on a not-so-serious joke.
