About Cassandra Maze

Cassandra Maze has been referred to as "the female Ed Sheeran" for good reason. Hailing from Vancouver, Maze is not only a multi-instrumentalist and powerhouse vocalist, but also a one woman band and live looping extraordinaire, seamlessly looping drum beats, keyboards, guitars and more, to create fully-realized, hooky pop anthems live off the floor. Her freshly dropped album, "Asymmetry", has received rave reviews from critics, including The Georgia Straight, who decidedly named it their Album of the Week. Mike Usinger of The Georgia Straight called Asymmetry "a collection of fully realized and impeccably produced modern electronic-pop tracks that are slick enough to hold their own on playlists that include selections from heavy-hitters like Charli XCX and Rita Ora".

A commanding and charismatic solo performer, Maze received high praise from fans and critics alike at her Album Release Show this past November. Celebrating the release of Asymmetry, Maze played to a sold-out house at Vancouver's Blue Light Studios, and wowed her audience with 90 minutes of explosive electro-pop bangers. Other 2018 show highlights include: opening up at the Vancouver Playhouse for the 2018 Public Salon, performing at SFU Woodward's for Juno Week, showcasing twice at Canadian Music Week, and carrying out a summer festival tour with stops at Golden Spike Days, Sydney Summer Concerts, Kamloops in the Park, and Desert Daze to name a few.

In the past, Cassandra Maze has performed for the TD Vancouver Jazz Festival, CBC Musical Nooners, Kaleidoscope Festival and at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Her debut album, Velocity, was released in 2017 and has garnered over 100k Spotify streams to date. The album's lead single, "Wait", received multiple national Canadian Radio features and regular rotation on College Radio.

Additionally, Maze was a CBC Searchlight Regional finalist, played keyboards and sang backup for Victoria Duffield and Devin Townsend, and has had her music played on the Showtime mini series, Eve of Destruction.
