About James Patrick Morgan
It must be in the water… Born in Athens, Georgia during the heyday of its burgeoning music scene in the mid-80′s, Singer/Songwriter James Patrick Morgan has been making music most all of his life. He’s done it all, from church praise bands to $50 a night dive bar gigs and it shows. James has paid his dues and It shows. It shows in his voice and in his guitar playing.
It shows in his Piano and Harmonica playing…but mainly it shows on the stage and on his latest recording “Black Dog in the Sun”. James’ influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughn to the Police, from Stevie Wonder, to Imogen Heap and he and producer Scott Patton set out to capture it all.
Clear, Emotional, poetic, melodic. These words describe James’ new recording, but not in the way it reveals itself to you. Sure, the playing is solid and James’ voice is beyond compare, but there is also magic.
Come see and hear James Patrick Morgan for yourself. You won’t regret that you did.
