Pentatonix sang their hearts out for those of us lucky enough to be in the audience Saturday evening. They focused on upbeat lively Christmas songs, such as 12 Days of Christmas, Carol of the Bells, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, My Favorite Things, and You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." The lighting on stage was gorgeous and added to the festive atmosphere. There were also some ballads, such as Christmas Time is Here, Mary Did You Know and Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) that, with the group's amazing harmonies, were emotional and heart felt. Over all, Pentatonix: the Most Wonderful Tour of the Year was just that, wonderful and well worth seeing and hearing!

The show was phenominal! Pentatonix did a great job with an interesting mix of Christmas medleys, cello with beat box and drums, and a mix of older songs ("Mary Did You Know" from 2014 and a new song composed just this year. Getting to the venue (Thompson Boling Arena at Food City Center) was a nightmare because of all the traffic. Getting out of the venue was the same. But it was worth it because the show was so great!

I've seen Pentatonix several times over the last few years. They are one of my favorite groups, as they put on a great live show. All of the performers are extremely talented. The show on Nov 27 was a Christmas themed performance. I've seen previous Christmas shows, so I knew what to expect. The show was similar to past shows, but was very entertaining. Our group of 4 was blown away by the talent shown. We liked it when they moved to a smaller remote stage for a few songs. It gave everyone a chance to see them "up close". The only issue they had was the sound mix. The bass was louder than necessary for a good vocal mix. It was a minor annoyance for me as a musician. I am picky about the mix. It did not bother my friends. Overall, it was a great show, and I will be seeing them again. The venue was nice. Parking was good. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby.
