About Lisa Bouchelle

What do Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20, Cyndi Lauper, and Daryl Hall have in common? Lisa Bouchelle has sung backup for them all. And she has recently stepped out on her own, with a debut national release of acoustic pop that has garnered rave reviews. Her style has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Jason Mraz, and KT Tunstall, among others.

The new CD, "Paint Your Dreams," was completed at Jon Bon Jovi's home studio, with renowned producer Obie O’Brien. The CD includes contributions from musicians such as Shawn Pelton (his credits include Saturday Night Live, Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, etc.) and Bobby Bandiera (credits include Bon Jovi, Graham Parker, etc.); with special guest appearances from Southside Johnny and Gary US Bonds.

Songs from Lisa's album are among those available from Starbucks Hear Music® Media Bars in the Starbucks Hear Music® Coffeehouses in select cities around the U.S.

The first single, “Insane,” reached #1 on the New Music Weekly Radio Play Independent Music Chart, and #1 on the Independent Music Network Chart, and the album reached #4 on the College charts.

Lisa did a national tour as the opening act for Blues Traveler, and drove herself around the US in her car, performing solo and also joining Blues Traveler on stage many nights to duet with John Popper. During the tour, she made a number of appearances on morning TV shows on the local affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox. She also appeared on a number of radio shows in the cities the tour hit, focusing on college stations.

When she returned from the tour, she went to Tokyo, Japan for an industry showcase and to do interviews for the Japanese release of the CD, which includes two bonus tracks. Following that trip, Lisa headed to California to appear at the prestigious “Sunset Sessions,” the leading Triple A radio convention. After the last song she played, a new one called "Snapshot of St. Louis" that she wrote while on the road with Blues Traveler, there was a hushed silence, and then a "Wow" was heard from the back of the room, and applause ensued. “She’s a Superstar” commented Michelle Clark, the legendary radio promoter. From that appearance, Lisa was invited to appear on two radio stations in North Carolina, and she recently made the trip down there for those shows.

Lisa extensive performing experience also includes opening for Bryan Adams, David Bromberg, Nancy Sinatra, Kansas, John Waite, Hot Tuna, Southside Johnny & The Jukes, Gary U.S. Bonds, Nils Lofgren, The Wailers, Richard Marx, John Waite, and members of Phish and the Jerry Garcia Band, among others. She has appeared several times on both the NBC TV and ABC TV morning shows in Philadelphia, as well as ESPN, the Tennis channel, and Comcast CN8’s “Backstage with Barry Nolan” show. She was also interviewed for a nationally syndicated radio show on PBS, and is scheduled to appear on the highly rated Comcast television show “One on One with Steve Abudato” this summer.
