Walt Lafty

From his hard rock days fronting Philadelphia's SILVERTIDE, signed by the music master himself, Clive Davis (J records, Sony BMG, RCA Music Group), Walt Lafty has carved his way in and out of different rock bands. Initially known for his blue-eyed soul vocal stylings and improved stage presence filled with humor and energy, he has stumbled his way through these different posts while quietly churning his song writing chops in east coast studios for every genre he comes in contact with. This is no news to East-coasters, especially those lucky enough to frequent his Pennsylvania stomping grounds, where you'll find him jumping on stage to belt out Silvertide songs, covers from the likes of Todd Snider, John Prine, Willy Nelson, The Clash, and Tom Paxton. You never know what he'll pull out of his hat. Walt's upcoming 2023 release TORRESDALE showcases Philly area session-player staples like Chuck Treece and Damon Bennett in top form. This upcoming release is being produced by Grammy Nominated friend David Ivory.
