First off, Steve Augeri was the perfect person to step in to lead Journey back in 1997. He is a genuine person, a great singer and always the showman. I would always recommend one of his shows for any Journey fan. It is quite a show.
Sadly, the effects of the long tour have taken their toll on his voice a tad - something that caused him to leave Journey in the first place. I hope that when this is all said and done, he can space out his shows after allowing his voice to recover. Some if may have not been his fault as the Fairgrounds are not the best place for a sound person (rather than being in the middle of the audience, the sound technicians are on the side). So, I am certain a lot of the issue was him being able to hear himself sing. He nailed most of the Journey classics, but unfortunately struggled a tad on Separate Ways and his own song with Journey - Higher place.
I can't wait for you to be back in the area, Steve.

I am sure it was wonderful as Steve Augeri is extremely talented and is my very favorite male singer. However, after driving 40 minutes to get to the venue, we were asked to pay $30 to park our car. Unfortunately, neither one of us had cash on hand so we couldn’t get. We drove home completely devastated. So after paying $250 for tickets we never did get to see the show. I have been to many concerts and/or shows at both Jones Beach Theater and Westbury Music Fair and was never charged for parking. From the time I bought the tickets in February 2023, I probably received a minimum of ten e-mails with instructions on how to access my mobile tickets or asking me if I wanted to sell or transfer my tickets. Not once was I advised that there would be an additional charge for parking.
Since I bought the tickets in good faith six months before the concert and was not able to get in without paying additional monies, I am requesting a full refund of my ticket price of $249.90

JOURNEY Former Lead Singer STEVE AUGERI / Melodic Rock with Heart & Soul /
Drawing on a range of diverse musical influences to deliver a unique take on the genre of melodic rock, Steve Augeri is an American rock singer best known as the lead vocalist for the rock group Journey from 1998 to 2006. Steve debuts with the seven times Platinum "Armageddon" sound track then on to record three albums during a successful eight-year tenure that brought one of the worlds most accomplished melodic rock groups back to the stage for multiple world tours and millions of adorning fans.
Prior to Journey, Steve was a founding member of Epic recording artists Tall Stories. The group released their eponymous debut in 1992 and long awaited follow-up "Skyscraper" in 2009. It was then on to Melodic Rock group Tyketto, with whom he recorded the 1970's Retro flavored "Shine" album.
At present, in addition to "The Singles" which have been released over the past ten years, Steve is unveiling a brand new collection of songs titled "Seven Ways 'Til Sunday" and touring internationally. The Steve Augeri Band will be showcasing these exciting new songs as well as material from his career including JOURNEY's Greatest Hits, in what promises to be a highlight for his many fans around the world.
