Rocky 7 is a Virginia-based electro-Rock band with a sound driven by electronica, Hip Hop back beats, and hypnotic guitar riffs. The band who is the performing entity of Songwriter/Production duo D*Nik is the creation of CT born lead vocalist Nik Madry and BK producer Duane Smith who collaborated to create a conduit for their industrial sound. Inspired by Euro-electronica, Rock, and classic Hip Hop; haunting melodies meet addictive beats to create a hybrid of artistry and commerciality without the bubble gum pop of commercial music. The duo who counts Kimbra, the Foo Fighters, Santigold, and N.E.R.D. as musical influences is backed by a 5 piece band including 2 guitars, bass, drums, and keys which drive the studio produced records.
