Danika Portz

Nashville recording artist and songwriter, Danika Portz, is creating a buzz in Music City. Originally from Remsen, Iowa, Danika has been performing since the age of 6. Her mother recognized her talent at an early age and put together her first "tour" to all the local nursing homes at the age of 8 and started competing in competitions at the age of 9. From collegiate choirs to professional theatre companies, corporate events to state and county fairs, Danika is a seasoned veteran to the stage. Danika also secured a clothing sponsorship with Las Vegas based, Tatyana Designs (formerly known as Bettie Page Clothing) and MAC Cosmetics. Danika's resume includes: CMA Music Festival (Nashville, TN), BMI Key West Songwriters Festival (Key West, FL), Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival (Nashville, TN), Open Spaces Festival (Wilmington, DE), and some of the largest fairs in the state of Iowa, including the Clay County Fair, Plymouth County Fair and the Iowa State Fair. In Nashville, Danika performs regularly at the Bluebird Café as well as the historic Hotel Indigo, Douglas Corner, and Antique Archaeology (History Channel's American Picker's antique shop). She can also be heard performing the theme song for MTV's new original series, Virgin Territory and was featured on an episode of season 13 of Big Brother on CBS. Her debut album, Set This World On Fire, was released in July of 2014 and was featured in Billboard Magazine, Music Row Magazine and CDX with raving reviews and her first official music video for Greatest Show On Earth was exclusively released with Country Weekly Magazine.
