The "Søndag" project was born in Piacenza from the ashes of Edema band in mid-2015.
The band started as a duo with Riccardo Lovotti at drums and Marcello Lega at 8-string guitar and vocals.

After a few months Marco Benedetti joined in the project as second 8-string guitar and Riccardo Demarosi at bass guitars and lead vocals to complete the line up.

Søndag is based on a heavy rock musical concept with very low tunings, influenced by different rock genres.

In February 2016, the band writes its first 3-tracks Ep and produces its first videoclip for "No", begins shortly after a period of live on Italian territory that ends in early summer 2016.

Exactly at that time the band enters the studio, producing their first full length album "Bright things", recorded and mixed by Riccardo Demarosi and mastered by Alan Douches in the U.S.A.

Bright Things, also marks the beginning of a collaboration between the band and the Italian record label Overdub Recordings, thus initiating a new period of worldwide promotion and international tours in countries like: The Netherlands, Germany, England, Wales, France, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

After an intense tour season, the band decided to start a new collaboration with the New York City based label: Manifest Records.
A new album was born on December 29th 2017 between this collaboration: Stick to the plan.

The band had the honor and the pleasure to present it on stage supporting the mighty Rage, Firewind and Darker Half in Milan on January 6th 2018.

Il progetto “Søndag” nasce a Piacenza dalle ceneri della band Edema a metà 2015.

La band parte come duo con Riccardo Lovotti alla batteria e Marcello Lega alla chitarra 8-corde e voce.

Dopo pochi mesi si aggiungono al progetto Marco Benedetti alla seconda chitarra 8-corde e Riccardo Demarosi al basso e voce principale andando a completare la line up.

Søndag è fondato su un concept musicale di rock pesante con accordature bassissime, influenzato da moltissimi generi e sfumature di rock diversi tra loro.

A Febbraio 2016 la band propone il suo primo omonimo Ep di 3 tracce e il videoclip del pezzo “ No”, poco dopo comincia un periodo di live sul territorio Italiano che si conclude a inizio estate 2016.

Esattamente in quel periodo la band entra in studio, producendo il primo full lenght “Bright things” registrato e mixato da Riccardo Demarosi e masterizzato da Alan Douches in U.S.A.
(A.D. già engineer di band del calibro di Converge, Mastodon, Swans, Dillinger escape plan ecc. )

L’album vedrà la luce a fine Ottobre 2016 accompagnato da un tour Europeo.

Bright things, segna anche l’inizio della collaborazione tra la band e l’etichetta discografica Italiana Overdub Records, dando così inizio a un nuovo periodo di promozione a livello mondiale del progetto Søndag.

Il 2017 continua con tour in paesi come Olanda, Regno unito, Polonia, repubblica Ceca, Slovacchia, Belgio, Francia e Italia.
Dopo un intensa stagione di tour, la band firma per la label Newyorkese "Manifest Records" con la quale farà uscire il loro secondo album "Stick to the plan" il 29 Dicembre 2017.

La presentazione ufficiale dell'album vede Søndag aprire al tour mondiale di Rage, Firewind e Darker Half al legend club di Milano il 6 Gennaio 2018.
