About Liv Lombardi

Based out of Nashville, singer-songwriter Liv Lombardi continues to build their dedicated fan-base with her soulful, androgynous and sultry vocals through her radically honest stylings. Their ever-growing body of work invites listeners to engage in an intimate, vulnerable and empowering story of life lived with an open heart.

In 2012, Lombardi released their debut album "Self-Medicate" which went on to win the New Mexico Music Award for Best Pop CD and gathered the attention of NPR's John Schaefer (WNYC SoundCheck) as well as film and television composer, Michael Tremante (Lord of the Rings, Panic Room). Their music video for "Bearer of Bad News' was a featured selection in the Williamsburg International Film Festival.

Lombardi released their third studio album “Freedom Girl” in October 2017. A pop-heavy evolution with similar folk roots, "Freedom Girl" developed into a more direct and universal story than that of the internal representation of "Self-Medicate." The title track was originally inspired by a "chance meeting with a perfect stranger in Budapest, Hungary," Lombardi explains about a 2013 trek across Europe with nothing but a backpack and a guitar.

”She called me Freedom Girl during our afternoon and evening together and it unlocked a world of wonder in my brain and heart. The song was fully fleshed out a few months later while I was living at the beach in Southern Turkey — thinking of this woman I had met and also meeting numerous young people who were escaping the violent protests in Istanbul. The idea of resistance and freedom was definitely in the air.”

Lombardi has been favorably compared to the likes of Tracy Chapman, Chris Pureka, Melissa Etheridge, Ray LaMontagne and Patty Griffin. She has played at notable venues such as Pianos (NYC), The Bitter End (NYC), The Bowery Electric (NYC), The Saint (NJ) as well as appearing at SXSW. They have opened for national, independent touring artists such as Jonah Tolchin, The Sun Parade, God-Des & She, and Pinegrove.
