About The Former Me
A 5 piece pop-punk band hailing from St. Louis, MO, formed in July 2012 by drummer Adam Kopchak and bassist Killian Deluca. Upon the fall out of a previous band, the two enlisted the talents of singer Dylan Lahey and lead guitarist Tyler Murphy. Travis Major was later brought on board as new lead guitarist, followed by Ryan Coyle on rhythm. Upon Travis's departure in early 2016, the band welcomed friend Matt Grimsley, formerly of Equal Squeeze, to the fold. The pop-punk band's current sound offers a heavily rhythm based sound with melodic vocal melodies and leads. They cite influences such as Blink-182, Sum-41, Four Year Strong, State Champs, and Knuckle Puck. Since it's inception, TFM has released one album (Some Truth to This, 2014) and a standalone single (Playing With Fire, 2015) They've performed countless shows ranging from venues such as Scottrade Center, The Ready Room, Pop's, Fubar, and Ciceros. TFM has also shared the stage with numerous reputable artist such as Bon Jovi, Bowling For Soup, Four Year Strong, Set It Off, Man Overboard, Patent Pending, Transit, Hit The Lights, Tear Out the Heart, Hostage Calm, and Alien Ant Farm. They pride themselves in an interactive, high energy performance. The band is slated for an EP release in Spring 2017, entitled "I Know This Gets Better". It will feature a complete, yet evolved sound from TFM and be the first record featuring Matt Grimsley and producer Kevin Gates from REACH Audio.
