About Alyeska
Alyeska is the Los Angeles based project of songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Alaska Reid. Songwriting is an important part of the process for Alaska, after coming from a town in Montana, home to many writers and bars. She grew up listening to George Jones and Dusty Springfield as well Dinosaur Jr and The Breeders. This led her and drummer Ben Spear to record their debut EP with Producer John Agnello ( Dinosaur Jr, Kurt Vile, Waxahatchee) in NYC. They were the last band to record at The Magic Shop.
