THE BRETHREN was formed in August 2004 under the belief that the local scene needed a shot of good natured, progressive energy, fused with the jam band aesthetic of groups gone by. THE BRETHREN is comprised of Guitarist/Keyboardist/Singer Ronnie Dark Lauback, whose been entertaining CNY crowd since the mid 90's. Simply put, Ron is the romantic who turns into a wild animal on stage. Paul Puzzullo is the bands bassist and resident low end merchant, proficient in funky slap style bass and acoustic stand up technique. Watch him and try to not make your jaw drop! Rob Hill brings a fresh instrumental voice to the band, and his slow burning solos and bluesy tone are a nice counterpoint to Ron's guitar pyrotechnics. Original drummer Bobby Evans has returned refreshed and ready to make noise once again for the patrons of Central New York! BRETHREN (definition): The plural "BRETHREN" is generally used for members of an organization with one common purpose.
