About Bottom
BOTTOM is:
VOLUME ADDICT, GUITARZAN & VOX : SINA
LOW TONES : NILA
BATTERY : CLEMENTINE
LIVE RIFFAGE : GRETCHEN
Lead by siren mosh-heads, BOTTOM's neck-thrashing metal is built on riffs that are heavier than Hell itself. Originally hailing from New York City's deep Lower East Side.
BOTTOM's debut, Made in Voyage, was recorded in NYC, produced by Greg Gordon (engineer for Slayer, Helmet, and Public Enemy) and released in 1999 on the band's label Mudflap Records. Their second long player, Feels So Good When You're Gone, was co-produced by Billy Anderson (Mr. Bungle, Neurosis, Sleep). After the fall of Mans Ruin Records, "Feels…" was re-issued by Lee Dorian's UK label Rise Above Records.
Originally escaping as a trio from NYC in 1999, BOTTOM relocated to San Francisco and has kept busy, not only adding a second guitarist for live shows but also firing up a side project playing Zeppelin called Zepparella.
Van-vagabonds, BOTTOM has played over 1000 shows stateside since 1999 carving a new world order for DIY-touring bands: playing 300 shows a year. Notorious road queens BOTTOM invaded Europe in 2002, and spent a summer cranking out a daily double-header with a 70 shows in 40 odd days: tearing up the 2001 Vans' WARPed Tour by day and headlining a club tour after dark.
