Austin Blair Campbell

When you first hear Austin Blair Campbell sing, his rich lyrics and soulful voice spark a guttural awakening of emotions. Heartbreak, loss, struggle and occasionally peaks of pure happiness. His songs are poetic and Campbell evokes a Johnny Cash-esque vibe. It is no surprise that his songs ooze stories of Americana growing up in small-town Texas with three brothers in an active church-going family – his mother was a singer in the church choir where Campbell fell in love with gospel melodies and the deep undertones of repentance.

In the last two years, Campbell has attracted a loyal fan base in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His memorable “ginger” look and charismatic personality make an impression on every audience. His style straddles the line between southern folk and country with lyrics that tap into those vulnerabilities that can instantly bond us with strangers listening in the same room.

Campbell is currently reaching out beyond his Texas roots and recently headed to Brooklyn, NY in December to record new tracks at the acclaimed Mission Sound Recording Studios with Engineer/Owner, Oliver Straus.
