About Hannah Wants

Hannah Wants has been on a wild journey since her professional DJ career took off in 2010. From the Midlands Hannah has become one of the brightest stars in the global electronic scene with a loyal fan base and dedicated touring schedule that continues to flourish on a worldwide scale. A quick look back at Hannah’s biggest summer yet 2019 saw a scorching European season that took in everything from Pacha in Ibiza to headline slots performing to over 16,000 ravers at Leeds Festival. She toured two hugely successful East & West Coast North America runs and sold out her branded UK and IRE tour in advance for a fifth consecutive year. “I played my final gig of the 2019 Ibiza season mid September,” says Hannah with a smile. “It’s been another special summer. It’s crazy to see my face and name on billboards and posters around the island. It’s so humbling to be reminded of where I started and the crazy journey I’ve been on.” 2019 was also the year that Hannah released ‘Call Me’, a collaboration with American producer Kevin Knapp which went on to become Carl Cox’s favourite track of the summer.

Born Hannah Alicia Smith on the 19th of June, this super-focused house and tech DJ and former professional football player first cut her teeth on the White Isle during her first season back in 2010. In truth she hasn’t looked back since; winning Mixmag’s Best Breakthrough DJ Award and ‘Star Of The Year’ in 2014, Best DJ at the Bass Music Awards and an iconic Mixmag cover in 2015 that ended up being the best-selling issue of the entire year, not to mention an Essential Mix the same year as the icing on the proverbial cake. Hannah has risen to the top tier of electronic music with a slew of tracks and hits that have been signed to Food, Dirtybird, Toolroom and Virgin to name just a few. In 2017 Hannah hosted a Radio 1 residency and took home the Best DJ Award at DJ Magazine’s Best of British. 2018 saw Wants' launch her own record label Etiquette as well as relaunch her branded tour concept What Hannah Wants.

More recently Hannah’s been dedicated to creating a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Using her personal experiences and lessons learned over the past decade Wants is now using her voice with an aim to inspire future generations of electronic music lovers.
