Brilliant heavy blues rock with a sprinkling of original punk. Reminded me of Siouxie in parts yet Maria's originality with vocals and oerformance shone through. High energy, tight 5 piece band with spark and verve that punches you in the stomach ... in a good way! Go out of your way and look 'em up. Great band!

About Maria Bettencourt
Born on August 29th, 1993 in Praia da Vitória, Terceira island (Azores), Portugal, daughter of musician Luis Gil Bettencourt, niece and godchild of Nuno Bettencourt, Maria started singing at a very young age. She stepped on stage for the first time with her uncle and Extreme at the age of 10, at the Maré de Agosto Festival in the island of Santa Maria, Azores. A few years later, she started singing covers in bars, all around the Azores, the mainland and America.
Around 2014/15, she released two songs and started performing her own original work.
Maria released her debut album in 2019 (available on all digital platforms), working with Luis Bettencourt on the electric & acoustic guitar, Donny Bettencourt on the bass, Rui Almeida on the keyboards and Filipe Gonçalves on the drums.
