The Zoo Peculiar

The year was 1931 when our homeworld was destroyed by a string of rogue comets originating somewhere behind the Lump Crab Nebula. In the nick of time we were able to round up the creatures that make up the Zoo Peculiar--the beings our people, the Hobo Erectus, are sworn to protect--and escape the planet Xoo using the cosmos intergalactic superhighway known as the Bumzanus Portal. Having spiraled through the portal for eons, we were spat out on your primitive planet. Now, stranded among the humans, we travel across your world with our precious creatures in search of the correct cosmic keytone which will one day reopen the Bumzanus Portal and transport us back to our rightful place amongst the stars. Oh, and we play circus music from outer space. We are yesterday's future's past tomorrow
