Based in Witney, Oxfordshire

Formed originally in 1995 with then bass player Benny Szucs, Trauma quickly gained a local cult following with support slots for UK Subs and The Vibrators to name drop a few.
A riotous performance in the Hollybush Pit saw guitarist Jim Maycock crash his Flying V into the wall causing an electrical blackout throughout Witney!
Benny then left to join the Army ….and Trauma were no more

Fast Forward to early in 2014 and reforming with the original line up – and a noisy packed comeback gig with rising stars Twisted State of Mind , TRAUMA UK were back and louder than ever!!
Then Benny left again to join an Oil Rig….

Not to be thwarted this time, Kev Joyce (ex Aura/Disco Sluts ) was recruited to the rhythm section and numerous gigs followed and Trauma have established themselves as firm favourites on the local Oxford scene , including playing to a 5000+ audience at the 2015 & 2016 Witney Music Festivals, they’ve also received Radio airplay on WITR New York & Banks Radio Australia.

In May 2016 they released their 1st Demo EP “We are Trauma”

In 2017 Trauma continued to increase their local following opening the inaugural OXROX Alive festival and moving up the ranks to headline slots at Fat Lils, Witney & The Wheatsheaf Oxford.

The Trauma "sound" is shaped by Jim Maycock awesome guitar backed by Gary Williams (Drums) & Kevin Joyce (bass) punchy rythym section topped off with the unforgettable front man Andrew Nixey.

Going into 2018 they can now boast a 2 hour set of Originals & Covers.
