Mosche Di Velluto Grigio

Mosche di Velluto Grigio is an untraditional anti-folk punk band formed in the year 2000 in Canneto sull’Oglio, Mantua.
MVG is one of the most successful Italian folk punk band, having sold more than ten thousand copies of their albums, all completely self-produced, self-published and self-distributed. Their music is influenced by bands like the Pogues, the Dubliners and the Stiff Little Fingers, but also by the sound of a legend like Johnny Cash. Their Music makes many references to Irish Folk Tradition, it flips between overwhelming punk rock. Lovers of Irish folk and melancholy ballads reinterpreted in a punk-key, the MVG has created a new italian musical proposal, sided under the banner of “combat” and “anti folk”, what till today has led them share the stage with prominent personalities like Davide Van De Sfroos, Modena City Ramblers, Cisco, Street Dogs, Goran Bregovic and many more.
