Colin Peters DJ Biography “I only wanted something else to do but hang around”. Pet Shop Boys (Suburbia) Colin Peters is a busy man but humble with it. Widely considered as one of the original Ibiza superstars, 2013 saw him finish his 15th summer season in Ibiza, an achievement in itself. His profile as THE resident DJ to hear at Manumission for nine amazing years, and for his sets in the Funky Room in Pacha Ibiza for three years – is the stuff of legend. That he has also played regularly at We Love Space throughout the last five years is the stuff of most dj’s dreams. Summer 2013 saw Colin hold down his twin residencies at Rock Nights and Ibiza Rocks for another year, thus spinning at the musical trinity of Ibiza Rocks Hotel, Ibiza Rocks Aftershow & Pikes each Wednesday alongside groups such as Foals, Franz Ferdinand, Chic, Jake Bugg, The Vaccines and Bastille. For the past eight years Colin’s residency at Rock Nights (primarily a local Ibiza party) has grown in stature so that it now hosts rooms in some of the biggest clubs on Planet Earth including Space, (We Love and Café Olé) Pacha and Ushuaia. Ibiza 2013 also saw Rock Nights hold parties in Privilege and in Santos Beach Club (Playa D’En Bossa) with their new party concept – Flamingo. As one of the residents for the Rock Nights European Tour, Colin has visited Paris (La Maschine du Moulin Rouge), Ghent (Charlatan), London (Rattlesnake and Zigfrid Von Underbelly), Barcelona (Crappy Tuesdays), Valencia (La3), Madrid (Ochoymedio & Zombie Club) and Seville (Obbio Club). The crowning moment of 2013 was when Colin Peters and Jeff Automatic played the warm up sets on the Radio 1 / NME stage at the Reading Festival (Colin’s second time there) and set the stage for artists such as Haim, Phoenix, Azealia Banks and Disclosure, playing to 30,000 people. Winter 2013 / 2014 has filled Colin’s agenda with DJ sets in London, Ibiza, Madrid, Seville & Valencia plus he has launched his production career with a brilliant re-edit of Guns ‘N’ Roses – Welcome to the Jungle.
