About Sibiir
Oslo-based SIBIIR saw first light in 2014, and have been polishing their special brand of Norwegian metal ever since: Cold metal with hints of hardcore, thrash, black gaze, and a tasteful, fearless joy of pushing genre boundaries.
Their debut album Sibiir was released in 2016, through Oslo-based cred-label Fysisk Format, making many of the year's top lists, and was hailed by Terrorizer as "a savage".
Critically acclaimed live shows both at clubs and festivals like Wacken, Roskilde, Summer Breeze, Oyafestivalen and Eurosonic surely have given them quite a reputation so far - even earning them a couple of tours in Europe with Kvelertak and shows with Enslaved.
SIBIIR's sophomore album Ropes came out in 2019, and was nominated for Spellemann («Norwegian Grammy») 2019 in the category Metal.
Their third album Undergang will be out June 14 2024.
