Ester Drang

Ester Drang is an experimental, post rock, shoegaze band from Tulsa, OK. Formed in 1995 by Bryce Chambers, the band quickly gained a fan base creating songs and soundscapes inspired and influenced by My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Spiritualized, The Beatles, and more. In 22 years the band has seen members come and go including, Sterling Williams, Brian Brewer, Jeff Shoop, Philip Phillips, and James McAlister. After releasing 4 full lengths and an EP, the band quietly went on hiatus in 2007. Chambers resurrected The Drang in 2012 with a new line-up including original bassist and founding member Kyle Winner, and currently featuring Hank Hanewinkel III (drums), Tommy McKenzie (guitar and keyboards), and Jon Paul Pope (cello).

The band have just released their first new music in over a decade. The single entitled The Union, is taken from a forth-coming EP the band are preparing for release. Throughout the years, Ester Drang have remained in the minds and record collections of fans new and old, and continue to inspire new acts. The band have toured with the likes of Pedro The Lion, The American Analog Set, Starflyer 59, and most recently Echo & The Bunnymen.
