Aune is the stage name of Inês de Brito Pereira. Born and raised in the outskirts of Lisbon, Inês started her days looking for ways to translate the words, images and colors in her head. Although her first love was drawing, she soon developed a taste for singing, but maybe even more importantly, for telling stories.

Writing songs since she was 14, she started sharing them on a YouTube channel, which now has over 80,000 views. At 18, she joined and co-founded the Pop Rock band Plan Ahead, with four of her former colleagues from music school. In April of 2016, their debut album came out – “Headfirst”, from which all songs were written by Pereira. The band toured Portugal for almost two years and ended up dispersing at the end of 2018.

In September of 2018, Inês moved to the UK to start her degree in Songwriting and Music Production at the University of Hertfordshire. In September of 2020, she released her first single “Dangerous”.

Having had her start as an Acoustic/Country/Folk artist and experimented with a heavier sound in her band days, Inês is now absolutely and unapologetically sure that her sound fits way more in the Pop realm. Lovat has an aptitude to create simple, catchy melodies and pair them with well-crafted metaphors, resulting not only in highly effective Pop songs that will stick in your head for days, but also deeply personal lyrics and stories that will definitely tug at your heartstrings.
