Evan Zee

Evan Zee is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. His sound, like his musical upbringing, represents a convergence of folk, jazz, blues, and pop. Influenced by musical and lyrical greats like Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, and James Taylor, he believes music can provide access into a truer reality; that it reflects back our own story to us. While performing, he cherishes moments of connection that are created with listeners through shared narrative and feeling. His relationship to music, which he explores with his guitar, involves deconstructing its simplicity and celebrating its nuance. He views the guitar as his chosen vehicle for processing emotion. 2017 saw the release of his first studio EP titled, "Something Heavenly." The five-song album is a lyrical and musical attempt to point listeners toward beauty. Because, in his words, “beauty evinces purpose.”
