The Dukes & Smith Band provides an energetic mix of Pop/Rock, Country, R&B, and Beach Music spanning four decades covering artists such as Train, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, Prince, Matchbox Twenty, The Doobie Brothers, Hank Williams Jr, Bob Marley, Goo Goo Dolls, General Johnson, R.E.M., and many, many more!!!

"A large crowd of Birkdale neighbors, friends, and families gathered at the Residents Club on Saturday, June 21st for our Summer Music on the Lawn. The cloudy night eventually gave way to raindrops, but the music of The Dukes & Smith Band brightened the evening and kept everyone in great spirits.

This event drew people from all ages. The Dukes & Smith Band entertained us for a couple of hours, and by the end of the evening had quite a crowd up and dancing on the lawn! They covered songs from Garth Brooks (“Friends in Low Places”), the Doobie Brothers (“Long Training Runnin’”), 80’s hit “Jenny Jenny” (you know her phone number 867-5309!!), and Train’s “Meet Virginia”. They even threw in an R.E.M. tune for one of Buddy Dukes’ fellow University of Georgia alum.
