Jonny Waters

Jonny Waters: singer/songwriter/musician, combat veteran, and humanitarian. Waters joined the Army Infantry right out of high school soon after the attacks of 9/11. He was stationed in Germany from 2003 to 2006 and deployed to Iraq in 2003 and 2004 as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom I and II. Waters fought as a machine gunner and mortar man, working alongside Australian special forces explosive ordinance teams and carrying out reactionary force fire missions as a part of 2-6 Infantry, 1st Armored Division. Since leaving the military, Jonny has promoted world peace and humanity as a full-time singer/songwriter and live music performer for the past 15 years. His passion for music and humanitarianism are matched by his advocacy for education as he has worked as a high school social studies teacher for five years at First Flight High School. Jonny gives thanks for the blessings of talent and drive that enable him to create and perform his passion. He asks only that his hands, heart, and mind be anointed so that his works might project peace, love, and joy into the world!
