Dan Lively

Dan began a musical mission playing snare drum and concert bells in the elementary school band. As a teenager, a gift of an electric guitar was the beginning of prolific but still mostly unheard songwriting, and the formation of many bands in an attempt to facilitate it, and so he also learned to play various instruments and operate recording equipment.

Moving to Georgia, He studied Guitar at GIT (Musician's Institute) in Atlanta. Returning to his home state of West Virginia and hidden away in rolling hills, Dan continues to write and record music in his Lively Sound Studio, under the band monikers of 'Sweet Cicada' (Switch EP, 2004), the improvisational 'HypNoGoG' (Syndrig Tymes, 2013), and newer projects 'Jet Black Vicar' and 'RIFFKRAFT'.
