Haarlem, The Netherlands, May 7th 1996. Twin sisters Madelon and Danielle Bruinhof saw the light, and each other for the first time. What started off as crying and screaming, turned to classical piano training, to playing in grunge/rock bands, which all led up to the dreamy, psychedelic electro rock duo, called: ‘DELUSIONALS’.

The twins get their inspiration from the dreamy sound of Warpaint, the mysteriousness of Radiohead and the vocal technique of Florence + the Machine.

The floating, but strong vocals gets the audience in a trance. Amplified by the characteristic reverbing and psychedelic guitar sounds, which leans on ambient synthesizer sounds and dynamic drums.

Haarlem, 7 mei 1996. De dag dat tweelingzussen Madelon en Danielle Bruinhof voor het eerst het licht zagen, en elkaar. Wat als krijsen begon, is van klassiek pianoles naar spelen in grunge/rock bands uiteindelijk uitgemunt in het dromerige, psychedelische electrorock duo dat ‘DELUSIONALS’ heet.
De tweeling haalt o.a. inspiratie uit het dromerige van Warpaint, het geheimzinnige van Radiohead en het stemgebruik van Florence + the Machine.

Zwevende vocalen brengen het publiek in een trance, versterkt door het karakteristieke gitaargeluid die perfect leunt op de sferische synthesizers en dynamische drums. Dit alles vormt het geluid van de ‘DELUSIONALS-formule’.

Debuutsingle ‘Running’, opgenomen bij the Super-Nova Studio in Eindhoven en uitgebracht op 1 september 2017, stond 3 weken lang in de Spotify playlist ‘New Alternative’. Daarnaast speelde ze Bevrijdingsfestival Brabant 2017 en de finale van de Rob Acda Award 2018 in de grote zaal van het Patronaat.
