About I AM FEW

Jimmy Edwards aka "IAMFEW," which comes from Matthew 7:14: "For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few," was born on Oct. 11, 1991 in Elberton, GA as the second child in his family. His parents were regulars in the "Church scene" so naturally he was in the church pews every time the doors opened too. This is when he was introduced to God. His father was a singer/sound engineer in a gospel group called "In His Image," while his mother was an aspiring nurse. When Edwards began middle school, he discovered hip-hop music. It was just something about it that he loved so much. At that time in his life you couldn't catch him without his radio or cd player in hand. This new interest soon developed into a hobby which ultimately turned into a passion. Soon after, Edwards started to write and produce his own music with simply a webcam mic and a 30 day trial of "Mixcraft" (which he eventually bought). Trying to follow his idols, (TIP, Lil Wayne, Gym Class Heroes, etc.) he would write boastful and vulgar lyrics to pump himself up and make him look more like a "MAN" in the secular industry. Realizing that nobody was listening to his music for that very reason, he began to clean up his lyrics. This gained him a handful of fans but not enough to fill his ego. However, one weekend, Edwards was invited to check out a new Christian rap group performing at a local church. Having nothing else to do that weekend, Edwards decides to attend. He enjoyed the energy from the beats but there was a different energy in the building that night. It was something he was unfamiliar with. God spoke to him and began a change in his heart that night. And on March 27, 2008, 16 year old Edwards became a born again Christian in front of a crowd of 70 people. This was only the beginning though. Interesting enough, a week later, Edwards became a member of the very same Christian rap group that performed the night of his salvation. For 2 years he wrote, recorded and performed with this group. Edwards began to feel a strong calling on his life with music and eventually parted ways with "1081 Boyz" to pursue a solo career. Soon after, he began a partnership with Elberton, GA based artists, Provin and Amanda Brown. After releasing just 1 mixtape entitled "Prefluence." Edwards continued to put out music, sometimes even 2-3 mixtapes a year. In 2014, IAMFEW released his debut album "Revive," to world-wide distribution and followed it up with a regional tour stretching over all of Northeast Georgia. In August of that same year, he released yet another album titled "Start Over." After taking a 2 year hiatus, in February of 2016 IAMFEW released his 3rd and most recent album "Green Room." This album did pretty well online garnering quite a few streams on Spotify.

Today, 26 year old IAMFEW, is a national recording artist/Speaker, setting up to release his 4th album and setting out on his second headlining tour in August.
