ShadowThrone were founded by Steph from italian gothic metal band Theatres des Vampires.After living ten years of big experiences with TdV he decides to leave the band at the end of last South American Tour 2013 and start with a new personal project more close to his style and roots.ShadowThrone's sound is influenced by bands like Bathory,Emperor,Mercyful Fate..from trash metal to black metal to symphonic soundtracks.The first ep/demo was called ''Through the Gates of Dead Sun,, and realized in 2015.The finnish composer Samuli T.Makela appears in ''Through the Gates of Dead Sun,, with the track Hymn of the Tyrant.During summer 2016 ShadowThrone begins to record the first full album ''Demiurge of Shadow,, (out January 14th 2017) and signs for japanese label Zero Dimensional Records.To promote album ShadowThrone toured and gigs with Absu,Darkend,Rotting Christ,Necrodeath,Carpathian Forest,Batushka,Voltumna....like support band.
During year 2018 Serj Lundgren left the band replaced by Zilath Meklhum ( ex Voltumna).At the end of november ShadowThrone start to record for the new studio album ''Element's Blackest Legacy''.

Gli ShadowThone vengono fondati da Steph della gothic metal band italiana Theatres des Vampires.Dopo dieci anni di grandi esperienze con i TdV Steph decide di lasciare la band terminato l'ultimo South American Tour 2013 ed iniziare con un progetto personale più vicino al suo stile ed alle sue radici.Il sound degli ShadowThrone è influenzato da bands come Emperor,Bathory,Mercyful Fate,dal trash metal,dal black metal alle colonne sonore.Nel 2015 venne registrato il primo ep/demo ''Through the Gates of Dead Sun,, che vede la partecipazione del compositore finlandese Samuli T. Makela per la traccia Hymn of the Tyrant.Nell'estate del 2016 la band inizia le sessioni di registrazione per il primo album ''Demiurge of Shadow,, (in uscita il 14 gennaio) per l'etichetta giapponese Zero Dimensional Records.
L'album è stato seguito da tour promozionali e concerti come band di supporto ad Absu,Darkend,Rotting Christ,Necrodeath,Carpathian Forest,Batushka,Ad Hominem,Voltumna..
Dopo l'abbandono di Serj Lundgren nel 2018 la band è di nuovo al lavoro in studio per il nuovo album ''Elements Blackest Legacy'' con una nuova line-up che vede Zilath Meklhum ( ex Voltumna) alla voce.
