About Marked As An Enemy
MAAE - a metalcore four-piece from the heart of Europe. With honest energy capturing personal struggles through the dark and dissociative lyrics, fierce and fast instrumentals with a spice of a melancholic and melodic touch resembling the everyday struggles, especially within an individual’s mental well-being.
Founded in 2016, releasing two EPs (Crossroads & Fire Find Me), debut album ‘Meanwhile’ and in 2023 new single ‘Cultist’ from an upcoming EP ever since, MAAE is making a mark on the European metalcore scene.
“It is necessary to be vocal about numerous issues, personal AND common ones. And if the music works as a form of therapy or an escape, that’s when the music we do and love comes to its place. I always had music as my sanctuary when there was no one or nowhere to go or turn to. Then I knew I am not alone. No one is. Speak up.”
MAAE played numerous shows - club and festivals - with great bands such as Polaris, Distant, Paleface and many, many more.
