When the fiery crucible of Chilean thrash meets the icy cauldron of Canadian metal…the result is explosive, a metal storm built on a foundation of classic thrash. Vancouver, BC’s SOCIAL ARSONIST is a Chilean/Canadian hybrid, truly special in melding the best of their country’s respective attributes into an unholy mutation! A sonic alchemy where skill has met determination to overcome adversity that would put many bands to shame! SOCIAL ARSONIST are the cause of bassist Dario Zuniga and guitarist Manuel Morgado who started the band in 2009. Unable to locate the perfect vocalist in Chile, they found Canadian singer Cayle Charlton and worked with him for years via the internet, honing their material before taking the ultimate step of relocating to Canada. Inspired by Lamb of God, Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, and Machine Head , Zuniga describes the sound of SOCIAL ARSONIST as ‘aggressive, fast, intense, catchy and disruptive.” Over the years the world has been able to hear the fruits of their labour with the release of their 2014 EP ‘De-Evolution of Thy Self’ and 2016 full length ‘Duality of Perception’, ten tracks of unique modern metal that could only have been forged in the flames of all their hardship.
