Battlemaster

Hailing from the grim and frostbitten capital of the confederacy, Battlemaster plays a brand of melodic, yet technical and often thrashy death metal. Formed in late 2003 Battlemaster got its sea legs playing basement shows across the city of Richmond and recorded a CD-R only demo in early 2004. 2004 also saw the release of the Power Word: Kill E.P which was limited to 200 copies and is now out of print. Battlemaster’s second E.P, Cosmic Neutrality was released in late 2005. Since the release of Cosmic Neutrality Battlemaster has been busy playing shows across the state of Virginia, including dates with acts such as GWAR, Darkest Hour and Cattle Decapitation. In the summer of 2006 Battlemaster embarked on a short east coast tour with fellow sons of southern darkness and denizens of Reichmond, Monarch.
Battlemaster recently finshed recording a full length follow up to Cosmic Neutrality entitled Warthirsting and Winterbound, which is set to be released in February on Force Field Records.
