CN Williams Biography

From London via global hot spots like New York, Ibiza, Las Vegas and now Dubai, it’s been an incredible journey for DJ, producer and Record Label owner CN Williams.

Forged in the raw rave heat of the 90s, he became one of London’s underground stars, with a long-running residency at UK super club Escape that lasted nearly 15 years. During that time, he was crowned the Best House DJ from 2003-2005 at the Dance Music Awards, and played headline sets at legendary UK clubs Ministry of Sound, Fabric, The End and Pacha.

That success led to residencies with the biggest club brands in the world as Defected In The House, Hed Kandi and In Bed With Space all came calling. An in-demand DJ throughout his career, he’s opened and closed for the who’s who of house music – from Carl Cox to Roger Sanchez, Mark Knight to Derrick Carter, he’s been there, done that and got the sweaty t-shirt to prove it.

His production accolades are just as impressive. He’s collaborated with industry titans like Jocelyn Brown and Lenny Fontana, while his funk-fuelled house hit ‘Bad Mamma Jamma’ on Reel House Records became Tune of the Week on BBC Radio 1 upon its release in 2010, and has since been signed to a host of high profile labels including Hed Kandi. Not to be outdone, his 2015 release ‘Only The Strong’ took the Traxsource top spot in 2015.

Now based in Dubai, a global clubbing stronghold, he holds down residencies at DJ Mag Top 100 venue 360 and the hyper-cool Tribeca bar, while also broadcasting his sets live across the world via his weekly Reelhouse.TV live streams. No longer just a house DJ, he’s also able to turn his hands to open format sets which blend funk, R&B and old school as needed. That extends into the corporate world, where he’s DJ’d for a rich and varied list of clients including Pepsi, Jack Daniels, H&M, TopShop and EA Sports.

His much-respected label Reel House Records imprint has released over 100 singles and EPs since their launch in 2001, with 2017 set to be the busiest year yet with Friends of Reel House Volume 2 poised to hit the digital shelves alongside dozens of hard-hitting singles and EPs.

20 years on from his ground breaking residency, and with millions of air miles under his belt, CN Williams continues to take his award-winning DJ skills across the world.
