Miikka L

Known as a gifted dj, a talented producer and a promoter full of energy and passion, Miikka L is definitely one of the most well known faces in Finnish trance scene. Being hard working, dedicated and very ambitious, he has made a decision to follow his dreams and share his love to trance with people. A great musical storyteller who will take you to the journey with him.

Every dream needs an action to come alive and so for the past three years he has spent all his free time practicing djing, learning about producing and making his way up in the scene. His passion for electronic music ignited in early 2000s when he moved to Helsinki and started to take part in organizing events, especially trance. In late 2015 he felt that he had reached the point in which to be able to share something from himself trough music and so the next step was to take action towards his dreams. Despite his musical background he had to start to learn playing from scratch.

Taking chances, making an effort and putting himself up there, Miikka L has been raising fast in his career. His first big gig was in March 2016 when he warmed up for Marcus Schössow in Above & Crazy event in Helsinki and after that he definitely took his place as one of the most famous acts in the Finnish trance scene and started to make name internationally. Miikka L has shared the stage with many well-known DJ’s from Finland and around the world which include Orkidea, Tempo Giusto, Proteus, Manuel Le Saux, Ferry Tayle, Sean Tyas, Scott Bond, Signum, Philippe El Sisi, Daniel Skyver, ReOrder, Amir Hussain, Marco V, RAM, Darren Porter, Scott Envy, Ace Ventura and Liquid Soul to name a few.

Beside djin they decided to form producer duo M.I.N.O with his good friend Noa Saarelma and their first official track 'Dragonfly' saw the daylight in January 2018 under Extrema Global Music. Another two tracks 'Immortal' and 'Fragmented' were released also in 2018 on Practikal Recordings. Probably their most well-known track is their bootleg remix of Eric Prydz's 'Opus' which achieved great popularity in the beginning of 2018.

One of the dreams came true in September 2017 when he played his first international gig in nowhere else than in PaSSion in Coalville (UK). The gig made him even more ambitious if possible, and things really started to roll on. In April 2018 it was time to start his very own monthly radio show “Forever trance” on Practikal Radio and lock some more international gigs for the later of the year. Ibiza Trance Event in September was a huge success where he found himself playing at full “In Trance We Trust” stage. In October it was time to hit the PaSSion again, this time playing b2b set with his very good friend Scott Envy and more gigs abroad are still coming before the end of the year.

Miikka L is perhaps most well-known for his ability to take the listener to a proper trance journey and build up emotional sets, really taking the crowd to the next level with him. That is absolutely one of the reasons why he’s such a wanted guest in radio shows around the world. His sets are mixed with melodic, uplifting sound in where older classics are paired with the present high-quality tracks – not to forget to mention that he also plays psy trance. He is a charismatic and energetic performer who always gives his best to the crowd.

Right now Miikka L is living his dream and giving his best to follow it even further. This musical storyteller has decided to write his own story and tell it to the people listening to him. Miikka L has stepped to his own journey and the journey has just begun.
